Nature, my subject matter, always inspires me. My new work is done in three different mediums: watercolor on paper, acrylic on canvas, and colored pencils on paper.
Last year I experienced living in a small seaside village in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. While there I produced paintings based on drawings I did of the local birds, trees., and plants including such recognizably African birds as hoopoes and hornbills.
Since returning to South Texas I have begun refocusing on the amazing variety of local birds which includes large flocks of wild parrots.
