"Nature
is my palette," says fine art artist Kathy Schwarz.
Raised in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, Kathy finds the
Valley's diverse flora and fauna her inspiration. "As
a child I spent a great deal of time playing outdoors surrounded
by tropical birds, and flowering plants"
Kathy
was exposed at an early age to the exuberant, bold and flamboyant
colors used by the artisans of Mexico. Later on, she rounded
out her education with studies at the Instituto Allende in
San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato, Mexico and received
her Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity University in San
Antonio, Texas.

Artist and Designer Kathy Schwarz, custom design work and fine
art depicts the nature of South Texas. Her custom design
work, art prints, vivid renderings of bird and plant life
reflect not only the vibrant surroundings of her Texas home
but the extensive traveling to such exotic and varied locales
as South Africa, Europe, Mexico, Alaska and Hawaii as well.
Her
artistic background is quite diverse ranging from designing
commercial and residential stained glass windows and wall
murals for designers and decorators to producing, custom
design work, fine art , art prints and art gallery works
in a variety of mediums including acrylic, pen
and ink, ceramics, watercolors and colored pencils. Artist
and designer Kathy Schwarz fine art depicts the
nature of South Texas.
Her
art gallery work, custom design work, and art prints hang
in many local collections, and one of her career goals
is to market a series of notecards and art prints throughout
the United States and other countries.
